About Turkey Rhubarb? Not to be confused with garden rhubarb (Rheum rhaponticum L.), turkey rhubarb is said to be most powerful when grown at altitudes over 9,000 feet. The roots and rhizomes are dug from six to 10-year-old plants in the fall or spring.

It should not be used by children younger than 12 years or for more than eight to 10 days.
